Trenchless Pipe REpair

Repair pipe infractions, cracks, and corrosion with
manhole to manhole full pipe lining!

What's the problem?

Are you observing pipe deterioration caused by years of usage, increased line stress, or accidental strikes? Repair defective sewer mains from manhole to manhole!
3" to 42" diameter pipes
are repairable with cured in place lining!

A clean storm or sanitary pipe makes it easier to adhere to the repair lining. A pipe maintenance specialist will execute the service of jetting. A blast of water at high pressure is sent into the line to remove:

  • Blockages
  • Build Up
  • Grease

If the pipe is located within a highly trafficked area, traffic control services will be provided by Trinity Subsurface, LLC in tandem with the pipe repair.

A robotic crawler traverses the cleaned sewage/storm pipe to determine where the pipelining will be placed. VPI is an efficient way to find  pinpoint and mark pipe defects including:

  • Cracks
  • Corrosion
  • Infiltration

Field employees code observations right on the control interface of the crawler. The allows the repair team to determine the exact amount of materials needed for the new pipelining.

A new liner is installed into a defective pipe; this process uses air pressure to push the liner from one access point to the other. Trinity ensures that all liners are oriented correctly and are fully expanded against the pipe wall; this fills all voids or defects in the host pipe.

Once a liner is correctly positioned, the UV curing process begins! An ultraviolet light emitting train is deployed into the lined pipe. The UV light initiates the curing process; this causes the resin in the liner to harden and form a new pipe within the old one. The UV light train's movement is carefully controlled to ensure complete curing of the new liner. Cameras on the UV light train allow specialists to monitor the trenchless method in real-time.

Once the curing process is completed, a CCTV camera  assesses the quality and integrity of the installed liner. The operator confirms the locations of lateral connections, branches, or junctions for the reinstatement process to begin.

Any lateral connections or service lines that were covered by the lining process are reopened. This is typically done using a robotic cutter that precisely cuts out the openings without damaging the new lining.

A robotic crawler will traverse the newly lined pipe for final inspection. This provides our clients with post installation documentation and ensures that their problem was solved and the project was done right!

FAQs

Do you need to excavate for manhole to manhole lining?

No, manhole to manhole lining is a trenchless solution to fixing damaged pipes. There is no digging necessary as the pipe is repaired from the inside out with an interior lining. It restores structural integrity by sealing joints, cracks, or missing pipe sections and eliminates root intrusion.

Is manhole to manhole lining expensive?

Manhole to manhole lining is a more cost-effective solution for municipalities and commercial facilities with isolated sewer line problems. Not only does manhole to manhole lining prevent costly and unnecessary repairs, but it can also be completed as quickly as one day.

How long does a manhole to manhole liner last?

The liner forms a structural, permanent waterproof repair that seals all types of pipe against infiltration and ex-filtration. The finished repair is stronger than the original pipe. This repair has a superior bond to the existing pipe equally in wet or dry conditions and because of the lining material, there is no shrinkage and therefore no space between the pipe and repair that could cause leakage. The repair system can be used equally well in warm or cold climates.
