Trenchless CIPP Pipe REpair

Repair pipe infractions, cracks, and corrosion with
manhole to manhole cured-in-place pipe lining!

RESTORE PIPES WITHOUT DIGGING USING CURED-IN-PLACE PIPE LINING

Are you observing pipe deterioration caused by years of usage, increased line stress, or accidental strikes? We can repair defective sewer mains from manhole to manhole! Our team repairs 3" to 42" diameter pipes with cured-in-place lining (CIPP). Here are the steps to a CIPP pipe repair:

Sewer pipe cleaning illustration

A clean sewer or sanitary line makes it easier to repair a pipe trenchlessly. The pipe liner will adhere to the wall without any issues in a clean pipe.

Before trenchless pipe repair, our team will use hydro jetting to remove blockages, build up, and grease.

If the pipe is located within a roadway, traffic control services will can be provided by Trinity Subsurface, LLC for site safety.

CCTV video pipe inspection crawler illustration

A robotic crawler traverses the cleaned sewage/storm pipe to determine where the pipelining will be placed.

CCTV pipe inspection is an efficient way to find, pinpoint and mark pipe defects including cracks, corrosion, and infiltration.

Inspecting the pipe can determine the exact amount of materials needed for new trenchless pipe lining.

Installing CIPP lining illustration

A new liner is installed into a defective host pipe. This process uses air pressure to push the liner from one access point to the other end.

Trinity ensures that all liners are oriented correctly and are fully expanded to the wall of the pipe. The lining process fills all voids or defects in the host pipe.

Once a liner is correctly positioned throughout the host pipe, the UV curing process begins. An ultraviolet light train device is deployed into the lined pipe.

The UV light initiates the curing process by emitting blue light. This causes the resin in the trenchless pipe liner to harden and form a new pipe within the old one.

The UV light train's movement is carefully controlled to ensure complete curing of the new liner. Cameras on the UV light train allow installers to monitor the pipe liner curing in real-time.

Lateral reinstatement with crawler illustration

Once the curing process is completed, a CCTV camera assesses the quality and integrity of the installed liner. The operator confirms the locations of lateral connections, branches, or junctions for the lateral reinstatement process to begin.

Any lateral connections or service lines that were covered by the lining process are reopened. This is typically done using a robotic cutter that precisely cuts new openings without damaging the CIPP repair.

A robotic CCTV pipe inspection camera will be sent through the newly CIPP-lined pipe for final inspection.

The post-repair inspection ensures there are no issues with the newly installed CIPP pipe and gives our clients a fully documented report on the final repair!

FAQs

What is manhole to manhole CIPP lining?

Is excavating needed for pipe lining

Manhole to manhole pipe lining is a trenchless solution to fixing damaged pipes. No digging or excavation is required as the pipe is repaired from the inside out with an interior lining.

What are the benefits to cured-in-place pipe lining?

Is excavating needed for pipe lining

Cured-in-place pipe lining restores structural integrity by sealing joints, cracks, or missing pipe sections and eliminates root intrusion. The curing process provides no space between the pipe and repair that could cause leakage.

The process avoids major surface restoration and can be completed faster than a fully excavated pipe replacement / repair.

Is manhole to manhole lining expensive?

Cost of pipe lining

Manhole to manhole lining is a more cost-effective solution for municipalities and commercial facilities with isolated sewer line problems. Not only does manhole to manhole lining prevent costly and unnecessary repairs, but it can also be completed as quickly as one day.

Will trenchless pipe repairs affect the size of my pipe?

Strength of pipe lining

Pipe lining material is very thin, but strong. As a result, there is very little shrinkage compared to the original diameter of the repaired pipe to keep up with flow capacity.

What's the lifetime for a pipe restored with a CIPP liner?

Strength of pipe lining

Trenchless pipe liner forms a structural, permanent waterproof repair that seals all types of pipe against infiltration and exfiltration.

A finished pipe point repair will end up stronger than the original pipe as reinforcing material for a long-lasting repair. The repair has a superior bond to the existing pipe equally in wet or dry conditions.
